850nm, 250mW high power, high efficiency infrared laser diodes for night vision & distance measurement sensors
Ushio’s new 850nm, 250mW high power HL85022MG laser diodes series features high optical output power, high efficiency and excellent beam quality. They are an ideal infrared light source for night vision and measurement sensing applications.
In recent years there has been growing demand for longer ranges and higher performance in night vision applications, as well as the practical application of laser diodes for long-distance measurement sensors using the ToF (Time of Flight) method.
Consequently, Ushio has developed the HL85022MG series laser diodes, (HL85021MG, HL85022MG, HL85023MG), with a wavelength of 850nm, by redesigning the conventional chip structure and expanding the optical output power to 250mW while maintaining ideal Gaussian-shape good beam quality. The operating temperature range has been expanded from -10 to 60°C to -20 to 75°C, which allows for use in a wide range of applications in both hot and cold temperatures.
Currently Ushio offers a line-up of 50mW laser diodes that have achieved high-quality beam characteristics in the 830nm and 852nm range using their unique design technology.
